How to get there
From the United States to Italy
To Naples
There are no direct flights from New York to Sorrento, as Sorrento does not have an international airport.
However, it is possible to fly directly from Philadelphia (PHL) and New York (JFK, Newark, or LaGuardia) to Naples Capodichino (Naples International Airport).
Several airlines offer flights with one or more stopovers, with a total travel time of approximately 11 hours and 20 minutes.

To Rome
Another great option is to fly into Rome first, then make your way to Naples.
If you're departing from New York City or Philadelphia, you can fly directly to Rome’s Fiumicino Airport (FCO) Italy’s main international gateway and one of the busiest airports in Europe.
The flight typically takes about 8 to 9 hours.
Once you land in Rome, getting to Naples is quick and easy.
The best option is the high-speed train from Rome Termini to Naples Centrale. Trains like Frecciarossa and Italo run every 20–30 minutes, and the trip takes just about 1 hour. Tickets goes from €9.90 to €50 depending on time and how early you book.
To reach Termini Station from the airport, just take the Leonardo Express a non-stop train that gets you there in 30 minutes.

From Naples to Sorrento
By bus
Curreri Viaggi Bus connects Naples Airport directly to Sorrento. Buses run daily, with the last departure at 7:30 PM. The journey takes just over an hour.

The average cost ranges between 10 and 15 euros.

By taxi
If your flight arrives late or you prefer a more comfortable option, you can take a taxi at the airport.
The average cost for a taxi from Naples to Sorrento ranges between 100 and 150 euros.
By sea
If you prefer to travel by sea, you can take a hydrofoil from Naples (Molo Beverello) to Sorrento.
The journey takes about 40 minutes and offers beautiful views of the coastline.
